Gallo Center for the Arts

is that the center is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of people who live in Gallo Center for the Arts apartments and the entire Modesto community.
The mission statement of the Gallo Center addresses what is most important to the organization, and that is offering an array of affordable opportunities to see regional, national and international activities that will illuminate, educate and entertain. The building itself only opened in September 2007, after nearly ten years of planning, obtaining funding and building the Gallo Center for residents of Modesto apartments.
With so many seats in the auditoriums, many residents of Gallo Center for the Arts apartments can see a performance. There are actually two auditoriums here - the larger Mary Stuart Rogers Theatre that seats about 1250 and the Foster Family Theatre that seats around 444. The separate auditoriums can also be reserved or rented out for a special event by businesses and individuals. Because there isn't space here to describe all of the performers over the past year, here are a few artists who have entertained and who have plans to entertain Modesto apartment residents: Kenny Rogers, Sarah Evans, Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt, Leahy, Dana Carvey and Loggins and Messina. Other entertainment includes Muppet shows and other children's performances, plus magic and dance.
